More learning as we get our wild kitty spayed.

Today I spent the day clearing out a room in our French farmhouse for our new wild kitty. I am a long time fan of the idea of having a room of one’s own, but in this case it is a temporary set up as I learn a bit about caring for a cat post surgery. Hello learning curve -again! It’s one thing to have a wild thing adapt to living with us little by little, and it was especially easy for her to snuggle in to the warmth inside during the cold winter. Maybe she likes us too? But now spring is sproinging, and she has just been spayed. So she needs some quiet space to chill out and heal. It seems she likes her room. But listening to her pleading meowls to get outside… I fear the effort to keep her in for her healing season may be a challenge that will test us both! Zen pose.
